A look across four boardsports this week — PWA windsurf results and gear tests, a wingfoil race series and Channel crossing, the IBC World Tour's junior bodyboarding circuit, and the CT surf season picking back up with the Tahiti Pro on the horizon.

Windsurfing

On the PWA World Tour's slalom stop in Fuerteventura, Sarah-Quita Offringa (Aruba) took the women's title in winds gusting past 30 knots, while Nicolas Goyard (France) won the men's fleet. Full report on SURF Magazin.

On Sylt, the Multivan Windsurf Cup crowned German national champions across Foil Slalom, Fin Slalom, and Wave, drawing thousands of visitors to Brandenburg Beach in Westerland. Recap via SURF Magazin.

On the gear side, SURF Magazin tested the Liberty Carbon harness — a hip/seat hybrid that relieves back pressure like a seat harness while keeping the leg freedom of a hip harness — and Artness's 3D-printed retractable trapeze rope system for wing riders, a simple €49.90 fix for the longer lines wing harnesses need. Wingfoiling & Foiling

The Portimão X-15 Wingfoil Series drew a record 115 riders from 17 nations to Portugal for one-design racing on identical equipment. France's Romain Ghio won the men's division and Great Britain's Alice Read took the women's title, with youth champions crowned across the U19, U17, and U15 divisions and a Women into Wing initiative aimed at growing female participation. Armstrong Foils is running demo days across North America and Europe through spring and summer, with stops from Hawaii and Hood River to France, Spain, the UK, and Scandinavia where riders can test current gear and meet team riders. Details via Foiling Magazine.

In the endurance department, Tom Auber completed a 212 km SUP foil crossing of the English Channel — another marker of how far distance foiling has come. Report on Foil Magazine.

Bodyboarding

The IBC World Tour returned to Peru after a four-year absence for the Punta Negra Junior Pro, with local wildcard Junior Mendoza posting the day's top single-wave score in 3–4 foot surf; six juniors qualified through to October's Gran Canaria Frontón King Grand Final. In Australia, the Future Pro's Junior Men Rising Series kicked off at Duranbah Beach on the Gold Coast, with Bodi Hugin taking the title by 0.36 points over Chase Thompson on a 7-point right-hander — another qualifying spot secured for the Gran Canaria world final. Full story on IBC World Tour.

In Mexico, Kalani Favela became the first Mexican rider ever to win an IBC World Tour event, sweeping every heat at the Pascuales Bodyboard Pro and landing the contest's only perfect 10 en route to beating veteran Amaury Lavernhe in the final. Read more on IBC World Tour.

In Namibia, the Sound Garden Surf Contest at Thicklip near Swakopmund drew 20+ local surfers into clean two-metre waves, with Yaron Lucas, Phillip Seidler, and Tyrone Kotze taking the Junior, Open, and Masters divisions. More on Zigzag Magazine.

With no WSL event at Jeffreys Bay this year, JBay Boardriders is filling the gap with a locals-only contest at Supertubes on a flexible waiting period, celebrating the wave and the community that surfs it year-round. Details on Zigzag Magazine.
